Jungfraujoch

Known as the Top of Europe

In September 2019, we journeyed to Switzerland to take in the sights at Interlaken, and enjoyed a day trip to the Jungfrau-Aletsch, which is the first natural heritage site of the Alpine region.

It was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve seen, and the sky that day was perfectly clear, providing us with a great view out across the horizon.

Yet, it is much more than a lookout. You get to experience the Jungfrau Railway, which is over 100 years old, and takes you on an exciting and unique trip through the Eiger and Mönch mountains to Europe’s highest railway station.

Inside the Jungfraujoch Observatory, there are sights to see outside the observatory, and a multiple floor facility inside for exploring shops, tasting chocolates, and seeing exhibits in ice as well as other art displays. It was certainly a nice day trip, and one unique experience. Visit Jungfraujoch outside Interlaken.
